The Bank Rate's record period of stability is just one month away from hitting the six year mark, after it was frozen again today.
The rate will be remaining at 0.5% after it was announced this afternoon that The Bank of England's Monetary Policy Committee has voted to maintain it for another month.

The base rate has been unchanged for an unprecedented period, with the last time a change was made being March 2009.
The committee also voted to maintain the stock of purchased assets financed by the issuance of central bank reserves at £375 billion. The committee's latest inflation and output projections will appear in the inflation report to be published at 10.30 am on Thursday 12 February. The minutes of the meeting will be published at 9.30 am on Wednesday 18 February.
