Wealth manager Brown Shipley has appointed former Julius Baer executive Gordon Scott as head of strategic partnerships and entrepreneurs network.

In the newly created role, Mr Scott will be responsible for developing long-term long-term partnerships with corporate advisory businesses, tax advisers, private equity and the investment banking community in order to assist entrepreneurial clients with their needs.

He will also focus on enhancing relationships with the entrepreneurial community.

Mr Scott joins from Julius Baer International where he was executive director and head of UK regions. He also helped build the bank’s UK offering for high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth clients.

Brown Shipley also looked to Julius Baer for its new head of its Manchester office in November. 

Prior to this, Mr Scott was regional director for Scotland and Northern Ireland at Barclays Wealth and Investment Management, and head of UK regions at Kleinwort Benson.
