Two former Aegon and Standard Life bosses have joined Punter Southall Aspire, as part of the company’s strategy to expand its workplace solutions business.

Alan Emberson and John Bissett will both join the company as directors.

Mr Emberson joins from Standard Life, where he worked as a corporate relationship director. He was responsible for developing the firm’s relationships across FTSE 350 companies at HR and benefits director level.

Prior to his role at Standard Life, Mr Emberson also held a senior position at Prudential, where he helped to broaden the firm’s employee benefits product proposition.

John Bissett moves to Punter Southall Aspire following a long career at Aegon, where he held the role of business development director, UK private wealth management.

More recently, Mr Bissett was responsible for marketing Lombard International’s life assurance based wealth planning and inheritance tax structures.
