A business described as a Financial Planning firm is among a list of 19 failed firms revealed today.

A number of firms described as offering wealth management were also named this morning by the Financial Sevices Compensation Scheme (FSCS) as being in default.

Cavendish Financial Planning Limited in Coggeshall, Colchester, Essex, Vanguard Wealth Management Limited in Leeds and Advanced Wealth Management Limited in Sheffield were all on the list.

The 19 businesses listed were spread across the UK, from London to Scotland. See list below.

This covers the period from 1 March to 31 March 2017.

A declaration of default means FSCS is satisfied a firm is unable to pay claims for compensation made against it. Consumers could be in line for compensation for all of the firms listed.

Since its inception in 2001, FSCS said it has helped over 4.5m people, paying out more than £26bn in compensation.
