A fifth arrest has been made in a police murder probe after a director of a pensions company was killed recently.
Guy Hedger, 61, was shot dead in Dorset by intruders, according to police, who said he was killed in the early hours of the morning on Sunday 30 April in his home in Castlewood in Ringwood.
The post-mortem examination found he died as a result of gunshot wounds. Three suspects had already been charged with his murder before today’s arrest.
Mr Hedger was marketing and branding director at LV=, and played a leading role in the rebranding of the business in early 2007.
This morning, Thursday 18 May 2017, a 39-year-old Bournemouth man has been arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to commit aggravated burglary and is “currently assisting officers with their enquiries”.
An address in the West Howe area is being searched by officers in relation to the murder investigation.
Mr Hedger’s family described him as a “caring and compassionate man”.
It is believed jewellery, including designer watches, was stolen from the address where he was killed, police said.
