A polar adventurer and trained obstetrician will host this year's CISI Paraplanner Conference 2018.
With just over one month to go until the event, taking place on 12-13 June, the host has been revealed as Dr Ed Coats.
Dr Coats was billed as “adventurer, motivational speaker and obstetrician” and will helm the whole conference programme.
He has appeared on TV on the BBC’s ‘The Coldest Classroom on Earth’, where children with special educational needs were taken to the high Arctic as a challenge beyond the classroom.
There will also be more than 10 speakers and over 10 motivational and technical sessions at the event at the Jurys Inn, Hinckley Island, Leicestershire.
Aleksandra Sasin of Navigatus Outsourced Paraplanning will hope to inspire delegates with ‘How Paraplanning has changed my life and lets me do what I love: helping clients get the right outcome’, while Michelle Meredith and Martin Ruskin CFP Chartered MCSI, of Paradigm Norton, will run a session on ‘Working relationships with financial planners – overcoming differences of opinion.’
Jacqueline Lockie CFP Chartered FCSI, CISI head of Financial Planning said: “Our Paraplanner Interest Group Committee (PPIG) has been instrumental in helping us shape a two-day programme of compelling content, combining soft and technical skill sessions.
"The programme was built by Paraplanners, for Paraplanners.”
