Experts were left enthused by Financial Planning Week and described the event as “amazing”.

The annual focus on Financial Planning ended on Wednesday and saw more than 50 firms getting involved.

UK consumers were offered free personal Financial Planning sessions worth up to £500 with the theme to “make dreams happen.”

The free sessions, offered by CISI Certified Financial Planners, aimed to give “everyone a helping hand to achieving financial wellbeing, resilience and life goal planning.”

The annual Financial Planning Week campaign, organised by CISI, is a national initiative to help improve the financial fitness of the UK public, while highlighting the fact that Financial Planners represent the pinnacle of professionalism for their knowledge, skills and integrity.

Chartered Financial Planner Amyr Rocha-Lima tweeted: “People from across the economic spectrum got in touch w/ us to discuss their money and their life. #FPWUK @CISI If nothing else, it’s proven to me that our profession is HIGHLY VALUED by SO MANY people - they just don’t know that we do what we do, until they talk to us.”

And NorthStar Wealth Management took to Twitter to say: “Reflecting on an amazing #FPWUK 2018. Great work promoting this @CISI. Well done all involved.”

Chartered Financial Planners Berry & Oak added: “One final thought for #fpwuk. A financial plan is for life... not just for Financial Planning Week.”

The CISI says Financial Planners are “supremely qualified to offer financial guidance not only to pre or post retirees, but to all members of society at differing life stages including women, couples, families, families with adult children, students, young adults and families with caring responsibilities for those with special needs.”
