Sanlam UK - part of Sanlam Limited, the South African-based group - has speeded up the development of its HNW client Private Office arm by appointing two new experienced recruits, Jonathan Moon and Will Cayzer.

They both join from Close Brothers Asset Management and will take the roles of business development director and business development assistant respectively.

They join Penny Lovell, chief executive of Sanlam Private Office. It was announced in August that Ms Lovell will be responsible for spearheading Sanlam UK’s new offering for high net worth clients with assets over £1 million.

Mr Moon spent the last two years at Close Brothers Asset Management, where he was business development director. Previously, he held similar roles at Tilney Investment Management and Tilney Bestinvest. Mr Cayzer joins after also having spent the last two years at Close Brothers Asset Management and previously spent time at Fleming Family and Partners.

Sanlam now controls over £12 billion in client assets.
