The Government will publish its Spring Statement on Tuesday 13 March 2018, Chancellor Philip Hammond announced yesterday. The Spring Statement will respond to the forecast from the Office for Budget Responsibility.

This is the first year that a budget has not been presented to the House of Commons in March, as the Treasury announced that from 2017 the budget will take place in Autumn to allow annual tax changes to occur, before the start of the fiscal year.
