The name Scottish Life has become a thing of the past as the rebranding of the pensions business took effect today.

The firm is the latest to adopted the Royal London brand, as the parent company aims to become a household name. The changes also affect Scottish Provident and Bright Grey.
The group's independent wrap platform Ascentric, however, will not be changing.
Isobel Langton, chief executive of the intermediary business, said Scottish Life's move to the single brand will "re-enforce the benefit customers receive from Royal London's strength and depth, whilst allowing it to continue to deliver specialist and market-leading propositions to advisers".
It also allows it to broaden its reach to consumers, she added.

Ms Langton said: "The move to the Royal London brand makes complete sense for Scottish Life and it is an exciting time for everyone involved in the business. "This is a fantastic opportunity to deliver the same great level of five star service to advisers and customers with a new brand that reflects our age-old values. As a mutual, helping people help themselves has always been at the heart of what we do.
"We remain fully committed to supporting advisers. The Freedom and Choice changes recently announced in the Budget demonstrate once again the importance of impartial and expert advice."
Phil Loney, group chief executive of Royal London, said after the latest results were announced earlier this month that the rebranding of firms with the group would help make savings.
He said: "Our customers will also benefit from the efficiencies created by the consolidation of Scottish Provident and Bright Grey products under the single Royal London brand in 2015."
Total continuing new life and pensions business on a PVNBP basis was up 39% at £3,588m for quarter 3, it announced.
