
Alasdair Walker CFP has won the prestigious Certified Financial Planner Professional of the Year award in the CISI Annual Financial Planning awards presented last night.
Mr Walker, a Chartered FCSI (Financial Planning), works at Handford Aitkenhead & Walker in Leicester where he is managing director.
Mr Walker joined the firm in 2011 as a trainee and is double qualified as a CFP Professional and Chartered Financial Planner. He also holds the Certificate in Discretionary Investment Management and is a qualified coach and mentor. He is focused on lifetime Financial Planning.
He is an accredited Retirement Planning Specialist and Later Life Advice Specialist and is authorised to deal with Final Salary and Defined Benefit pension transfers.
In 2020 Alasdair he won the prestigious “Hero of the Year” award from Nextgen Planners, for services to the financial services community.
Mr Walker, and other winners, were presented with their awards at the CISI’s Annual Financial Planning Awards 2023 last night at Wotton House, near Dorking, Surrey. The awards are part of the two CISI Annual Financial Planning Conference taking place at Wotton House this week.

The London-based CISI has more than 47,000 members and is the UK professional body which awards the Certified Financial Planner designation.
