Financial education evangelist Warren Shute has won the coveted Certified Financial Planner of the Year Award in the annual CISI Financial Planning Awards.

Mr Shute, a veteran Financial Planner, has won a number of awards previously and has established a reputation as a financial expert and commentator, presenter, author and founder of warrenshute.com which aims to promote “financial education for the nation.”

Mr Shute said he was “amazingly happy” to win the award which was presented last night at the CISI-IFP Financial Planning Awards Gala Dinner, one of the highlights of the three day CISI-IFP Financial Planning Conference taking place this week at the Celtic Manor Resort in Wales.

In other key awards presented at the evening, included new firm Magenta Financial Planning, headed by leading Financial Planner Julie Lord, winning Accredited Financial Planning Firm of the Year, Ashlea Financial Planning winning the prestigious David Norton Building Excellence Award for business achievement and Kirsty Stone of Dart Capital, who won Paraplanner of the Year.
