Last day for discounted IFP Ethics conference tickets
Today (Monday 12 March) is the last day to buy discounted tickets for the Institute of Financial Planning’s ethics conference.
The conference, titled ‘The Only Way is Ethics’, is being held in Warwickshire on 26 April.
Similar to the ethics and practice standards day, the focus will be on ethics and ethical behaviour in Financial Planning and is an opportunity to gain structured CPD.
Tickets bought today (12 March) cost £99 for members and £138 for non-members but these will rise to £125 for members and £175 for non-members from tomorrow onwards.
Kath Morgans, events manager at the IFP, said that tickets were selling well.
Topics at the conference will include challenges to ethical behaviour, ethics and investment management and matching investments to client needs from speakers such as Phil Billingham CFPCM from Threesixty, Prof. Andrew Clare from Cass Business School and Paul Resnik from Finametrica.
The Financial Services Authority has previously said it is keen for advisers to demonstrate strong ethical behaviour as part of their overall competence and professionalism.
The event is worth 4.5 hours of CPD including almost three hours worth of ethics and practice standards CPD.
The location for the conference will be the Warwickshire Golf and Country Club in Warwick.
