Bigger IFW wellbeing conference set for this month
The Institute for Financial Wellbeing (IFW), the non-profit body which aims to promote and campaign for better adviser and client wellbeing, is holding its 2024 annual conference later this month with the theme of ‘Financial Wellbeing 2030.’
The event will take place on place on 21 May at a bigger venue than previously, the Windmill Village Hotel in Coventry.
The event begins with an optional social get-together the night before, a gathering which has proved popular at the last two in person events.
The organisers say the Conference, once again using the banner: Invest in Wellbeing, will share the ‘how to’ of financial wellbeing.
The aim is to equip professionals who works in the financial world with “tools and resources” to help their clients achieve a “more fulfilling relationship” with money.
Speakers will include expert academics, researchers, managers with success in implementing financial wellbeing practices into their business and those who will share experiences of financial and emotional trauma.
Keynote talks are interspersed with breakout discussions with the emphasis on “lively debates and great ideas.”
Topics this year include:
• ‘Looking ahead to 2030 – what does financial wellbeing mean for your clients?’ with Victoria Hicks of the Exit Partnership
• ‘Using technology to elevate levels of financial wellbeing’ with Dr Louis Williams of Dynamic Planner
• ‘Why do we even talk about financial wellbeing?' with Dr Thomas Mathar, Aegon UK Ltd
• ‘Achieving diversity in the financial sector’ with Victoria Dale of Inclusion 365
Hiren Panchal, vice chair of the IFW, says “We’re excited to be rehoming our conference to a more central UK location this year and look forward to another packed event. As a member-led organisation it gives us another opportunity to meet again face to face and build on relationships that have deepened over the last 12 months, as well as take away some incredible insights from our speakers.”
Experienced Financial Planner and business owner Ruth Sturkey is returning to compere the event. She said: “It’s bigger, brighter and more relevant than ever before."
Sponsors for the event include Aegon UK, Benchmark Capital, Parmenion, Equilibrium & Timeline.
The IFW Conference is open to non-members and members. CPD-accreditation is also available.
