Advisertech website for advisers recruits 14 members in first month
Advisertech, the new website designed to help Financial Planners make the most of the internet and social media, has signed up 14 members in its first month and is on target to reach 25 by the end of the year.
The new site has been set up by Financial Planner Peter Matthew CFPCM, managing director of Jacksons Wealth in Penzance. Mr Matthew is an enthusiastic exponent of online communication and social media and a regular speaker at IFP conferences.
He said: "Numbers are up to 14 members so far and I'm aiming for 25 by the year-end. I had no idea what to expect but i am really pleased that these early-adopters would favour me with their trust. The curriculum is building nicely and we have spent the last month looking at how to build an effective homebase (website) that people will return to time and time again.

"Feedback has been positive. Users say that the content is in-depth enough while still being accessible to those who are taking their first steps into the world of online marketing. I have had one-on-one phone calls with a couple of members which they tell me is appreciated so I'm really pleased with progress since launch."
He added: "I have settled into a routine of producing in-depth content for members and keeping on top of the demands of the site. I'll be speaking to the IFP London branch next month about online marketing and will be stepping up the marketing of the site now that the initial launch is complete. Advisertech is becoming a community of like-minded advisers looking to expand their reach and I'm excited about what the future will hold."
Advisertech will aim to educate financial advisers and planners on how to optimise the Internet for business use and help with content marketing and social media. The site will be a subscription site and Mr Matthew, a leading Financial Planner and experienced user of social media and the internet, said he would initially have an early-bird introductory fee of £25 per month.
Mr Matthew also runs the 'Meaningful Money' videos website which help consumers understand finance. Podcasts on the site have received up to 1,000 downloads a week.
With Advisertech Mr Matthew plans to share what he has learned over the past three years. For example, he stays, his MeaningfulMoney.tv is now the second largest source of new client enquiries to his Financial Planning practice, after personal referrals.
