Investment firm Hargreave Hale has hired a long serving Brewin Dolphin boss.
The firm has appointed Andrew Wood to the role of investment manager at its Carlisle office.
He previously spent more than 19 years at Brewin Dolphin serving the Dumfries and Galloway area, where he was an assistant director overseeing portfolios for a range of clients including, private investors, trusts, charities and pension funds.
In his new role, he will focus on serving clients across the Cumbria region and the Scottish borders.
He will work alongside Hazel Larkin, who last year succeeded Marilyn Salkeld as the Carlisle office head following her retirement.
Ms Larkin said: “Andrew is a welcome addition to the team who will help take us forward as we aim to extend the reach of our investment proposition on both sides of the English-Scottish border.
“His skill set and industry experience will be of considerable value to our business and his appointment will help us enhance the level of service we provide to our clients.”
Mr Wood said: “I am very pleased to be joining Hargreave Hale and look forward to contributing to the firm’s ongoing success, building on the excellent foundations already in place.”
In April 2017, Hargreave Hale reported that its total FuM passed £7billion for the first time. The firm said it is continuing to attract strong inflows through its private client and fund management arms, despite challenging market conditions.
