The CPI (Consumer Prices Index) measure of inflation jumped to 2.5% in June from 2.1% in May.

There was a sharp increase in the key CPI measure of inflation from 1.5% in April to 2.1% in May.

Rising transport, clothing and energy costs spurred a surprise doubling of CPI inflation from 0.7% in March to 1.5% in April.

The Consumer Prices Index (CPI) 12-month rate rose to 0.7% in the 12 months to March, up from 0.4% in February.
