Two leading professional bodies have applauded the FCA for adding the professional memberships and affiliations of individuals to the FCA register.

Two leading financial services professional bodies have backed new FCA rules, which stipulate that individual members must to include their Professional body membership in its new Directory.

The Chartered Body Alliance - the professional body group backed by the CII and CISI - has urged the FCA to beef up its plans for a directory of individuals to make it easier for consumers to find advisers committed to high professional standards.

A financial services alliance, with a combined global membership of 200,000, has called on the FCA to “do more to support professionalism in UK financial services.”
