Former head of investment strategy at Brooks Macdonald and Moola founder Gemma Godfrey has joined Independent Wealth Planners as non-executive director overseeing investment management and consumer insight.

Moola, one of the smaller robo-advice firms, is to shut its doors in February after changing hands several times over the last few years.
