Guy Opperman MP, one of the longest serving Pensions Ministers in recent times, has returned to the Department for Work and Pensions although the pensions portfolio he held has yet to be allocated.

Earlier today pensions minister Guy Opperman confirmed he is not to continue in the role under new Prime Minister Liz Truss.

Prime Minister Liz Truss has relieved Guy Opperman MP of his duties as Minister for Pensions and Financial Inclusion.
