The fund managers’ trade body - the Investment Association - has appointed Patrick Thomson, CEO, EMEA, of JP Morgan Asset Management, as its new chair. 

Investors pumped in £553 million into funds in April after pulling out £3.5 billion in March, according to latest figures out today from the fund managers’ trade body the Investment Association. 

Market uncertainty in January spurred UK savers to withdraw £642m from retail funds, the first outflows since March 2020.

The Investment Association, the fund manager trade body, is to create eight new sectors from the Global and Specialist sectors from 13 September.
