An insurance claims handler has been jailed after he abused his position to steal £390,478 from his employer by diverting customer payments into his own account. 



The Association of British Insurers has revealed that fraudsters are submitting a scam claim every minute of the day, underlining what it calls “the true extent of insurance fraud in the UK” which now amounts to £1.3bn a year.

A man and a woman have been sentenced at Portsmouth Crown Court after they pleaded guilty to a number of insurance fraud offences which cheated RSA out of nearly £280,000.
