Some 2.8m over-50s in the UK have returned to work after being previously retired, according to new research from Legal & General.

An estimated 6.5m UK adults (12%) are waiting until they get married, become parents, or own a home before they think about arranging key financial products, new research warns.

Average assets under management for Legal & General Investment Management fell 12% year-on-year in 2023.

Legal & General said its operating profit for the first half of the year was £941m, boosted by its bulk annuity business.
