NS&I has increased its Premium Bond prize fund rate from 1.4% to 2.2%, adding an expected £76m to its October prize fund.

NS&I has held its Premium Bond prize rate at 1% despite rate rises on its Income Bonds and Direct Saver products.

NS&I is to refer £1m Premium Bonds jackpot winners to Certified Financial Planners or Chartered Financial Planners.
