Andy Briggs, the CEO of Aviva UK Life, is to take over as chairman of the Association of British Insurers board in October.

The chief executive of AXA UK & Ireland is to leave his role, the company revealed this morning.

AXA UK has agreed to sell its remaining, non-platform UK investment and pensions business, and its direct protection business SunLife, to Phoenix Group Holdings.

AXA UK is to sell its wrap platform business Elevate to Standard Life for an undisclosed sum and is also in discussion to sell many of its other UK life and savings businesses.
