Royal London is to absorb Police Mutual following a vote by Police Mutual policyholders in favour of a merger.

The Financial Conduct Authority is to close its investigations into four life insurers over their fair treatment of longstanding customers.

The FCA has closed its investigation into Police Mutual’s fair treatment of long term customers and said no further action will be taken but probes into five other insurers will continue.
