Guy Opperman MP has been appointed as the new Parliamentary Under Secretary for Pensions and Financial Inclusion.

In the six months after the launch of the new State Pension in April more than 1.5 million personal State Pension forecasts were issued, says the Department for Work and Pensions.

Six more providers have signed up for the Pensions Dashboard initiative which will aim to give consumers a central point to monitor all their pension arrangements.

A new government body offering money and pensions guidance and debt advice to consumers is to be set up to provide a one-stop source for personal finance advice.
