Former Zurich European chief executive Gary Shaughnessy has been awarded a CBE for services to business and charity in King Charles’ birthday honours list.

Zurich has appointed Anne Torry as head of its life business in the UK, and CEO of Zurich Assurance plc and Sterling Investment Managers Limited.
