Nest, the auto-enrolment pension provider, has appointed Northern Trust as its new fund administrator to help the pension scheme coordinate its investments across its diversified portfolio.

A quarter of young people aged 18-24 years are unaware of auto-enrolment, despite new proposals being published that will extend the scheme to 18-year-olds. 

Helen Dean is to step down as CEO of the UK’s largest pension scheme, the government-backed Nest, which focuses on auto-enrolment.

The Government-backed Private Members’ Bill which will extend auto-enrolment (AE) pensions to millions more younger people and low earners, is a “significant step forward”, according to investment and savings trade body TISA.
