An employee of wealth manager St James's Place - once bed-ridden for several years due to injury - is to take on one of the world’s toughest cycle races to raise money for charity.

Adviser network Openwork has announced a new three year £150,000 partnership with the financial and enterprise education charity Young Enterprise which aims to help disadvantaged young people into work.

The Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment, the professional body for Certified Financial Planners, is supporting the charity Girls Are Investors (GAIN)’s national UK Investment Challenge.

The St James’s Place Charitable Foundation has raised more than £130m to support charities in the past 30 years, it reported today.
