The Financial Conduct Authority is planning to replace its Financial Resilience Survey with a new financial resilience regulatory return for solo-regulated firms.

The FCA is to consult on a sweeping new 'Consumer Duty' which will compel firms to do more to protect consumers from harm and bad financial decisions. 

I would like to share some good news this week but realistically the Coronavirus outbreak will test many Financial Planning models to the limit and not all firms will survive.

The FCA has banned a total 18 people from working in the financial services industry in the past year - the lowest figure since the financial crisis, according to City-headquartered professional services firm RPC.
