The Pensions Regulator has revealed a decline in the number of penalty notices it issued for breaches of auto-enrolment rules.

HMRC has waived late filing and late payment penalties for Self-Assessment taxpayers for one month.

Lifetime ISA (LISA) early withdrawal charges rose by more than 300% to £33m in the 2020/21 tax year, according to a Freedom of Information request.

The Pensions Regulator has so far issued 115,459 auto-enrolment fixed penalty notices since the start of the workplace pension scheme in 2012.
