AJ Bell has launched a new retirement income solution to help financial advisers manage clients taking income in retirement. 

Most over-55s who have used the Pension Freedoms - introduced in 2015 - still place huge value on the regular income from the State Pension, a survey has found.

In response to the recent suggestion that the State Pension age should increase to 75, Aegon called on the Government to confirm pension freedoms will be available from age 55 even if the pension age is raised.

Savers withdrew £2.75bn flexibly using the pension freedoms in Q2 2019, up 21% compared to a year earlier, new figures have revealed.
