The number of pension withdrawals in August and September increase dramatically, according to new data.

The latest data has provided more evidence that Pension Freedom users are putting their withdrawals into bank accounts, according to data provider Moneyfacts.

New research suggests that 1 in 10 over-55s (11%) have either accessed their pension early or plan to do so due to the Coronavirus outbreak.

The government will review proposals to make guidance for people at retirement mandatory, a move suggested by the Work and Pensions Select Committee recently.
