Wealth management trade body PIMFA has called on the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) to urgently clarify its expectations around its new Consumer Duty.

Consumers just do not trust financial services firms, that’s the long and the short of it.

The FCA has today launched plans for a new ‘Consumer Duty’ for regulated firms which will set a "higher level" of protection for consumers buying retail finance products and services.
