The Financial Services Compensation Scheme has declared two pension adviser firms as failed.
The move opens the door to clients to claim compensation from the FSCS as the firms are unable to meet claims.
The two firms are Triple A Financial Services (FRN 431854) of Brighouse, West Yorkshire, and Barton Hatcher Ingram Financial Management (FRN 401729) of Gloucester.
The FSCS said there were two claims so far against Triple A with one rejected and one upheld. The claims are related to pension advice but are not connected to BSPS pension transfer advice.
