ABI unveils new associate member
Carpenters Group has become the ABI’s latest associate member.
The firm provides insurer and legal services to the insurance industry and its customers, with around 1,000 staff and seven locations across the country serving its insurer clients and their customers.
The ABI’s associate membership category was established in 2016 and now has around 30 members.
It is designed to serve companies with an interest in insurance and the work of the ABI but not eligible for full membership, such as legal firms, consultants, software firms and white label brands.
Associate members benefit from services including access to the full range of ABI statistics, industry updates, networking opportunities and reduced rates for ABI events.
The latest addition to associate membership comes just days before the ABI’s annual conference.
ABI director general, Huw Evans, said: “It’s great to have Carpenters on board as our latest associate member.
“We have a long-standing and collaborative relationship with the Carpenters team and work together on a range of challenging public policy issues.
“With the Civil Liability Act on the statute book, it is important for insurers and claimant law firms to improve our dialogue in the interests of the customers we both serve.
“I look forward to deepening this relationship even further as we work together in the future.”
Carpenters director, Donna Scully, said: “Better collaboration across the sector is not an option, but essential if we are to combat the evolving threat of fraud in the future claims environment.
“Associate membership of the ABI will better enable us to work more closely with our insurance clients and the wider insurance industry on sharing data and intelligence and more actively contribute to the industry fight to stay ahead of the fraudsters.”
