Barclays director joins advisory firm to run national IFA operation
A financial advisory firm has brought in a director from Barclays Wealth and his former team to head up a new look national IFA operation.
Paul Freeman will run the revamped wealth planning division for Premier, which is based in Croydon and Bristol.
He was the south west regional director for Barclays Wealth.
The corporate benefits and wealth management firm have made him its head of Premier Wealth Planning, overseeing the national IFA operation.

Authorised wealth managers Andrew Wakely, Mick Smith, Scott Ellis, Gareth Helyer, Kate Nield and Gareth Morris have joined him. Kate Ross, Rebekah Pettersson and Lisa Taynton have also moved from Barclays to join the support team.
Managing director Paul Couchman at Premier said: "To have a team of such calibre join the business is a major coup for Premier.
"They bring with them significant experience in wealth management and independent advice.
"Working closely with our existing team, they will play a key role in expanding our presence across Bristol, the South West, and Wales.
"These appointments build on Premier's success in expanding its IFA."
Premier Wealth Planning provides financial advice and services for private individuals, executives and employees, covering investment planning, retirement planning and protection of family and assets.
The company also comprises Premier Pensions Management a benefits consultancy providing services to pension plan trustees and companies.
