Belmayne achieved CISI Chartered Firm status last month
Derbyshire-based Financial Planning firm Belmayne has gifted over £8,000 to small local charities after a year of fundraising.
The money was raised by the Belmayne Foundation from the firm’s partners and via events organised by staff.
The firm handed over £4,100 to Derbyshire Carers Association and the same amount to the Edale Mountain Rescue Team.
Derbyshire Carers Association supports unpaid carers looking after a family member, partner or friend. It will use the money donated by Belmayne to fund activities that give carers a break from their role and roadshows to raise awareness of the charity’s work.
Edale Mountain Rescue is one of the busiest mountain rescue teams in the country.
The Belmayne Foundation has given over £50,000 to small charities since its inception in 2019.
The firm’s charity work is co-ordinated by Belmayne partner Ben Smalley.
Mr Smalley said the firm wants to make a difference to their local community: “Last year marked our 20th anniversary and it was a pleasure to celebrate the milestone by raising funds for two such fantastic charities. We have made it our mission to help organisations that contribute to the health and wellbeing of our local community and we are proud to be making a real difference.”
The north Derbyshire firm was awarded the CISI Chartered Firm status by the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment (CISI) last month. The accreditation signifies that the firm is operating at the highest level of professionalism in Financial Planning, the CISI said.
Belmayne is a family-oriented Financial Planning firm based in Dronfield, near Sheffield.
The firm, which celebrated its 20th anniversary last year, has a dozen Financial Planners on its books. It offers a full range of services for both individuals and businesses including investment, retirement and lifetime Financial Planning, family protection advice, mortgages and employee benefits.
