Brown Shipley appoints first North West regional head
Wealth planner and investment firm Brown Shipley has recruited Nick Cringle from Arbuthnot Latham for the newly-created role of regional head, North West.
Mr Cringle, a highly experienced wealth management and investment professional with a career spanning more than 30 years, will be based in Brown Shipley’s Manchester office.
He will lead Brown Shipley in the North West, and also assume the role of head of the firm’s Manchester Office.
He will report to Guy Healey, head of Private Banking and join Brown Shipley’s senior private client wealth management team.
He will join in May from Arbuthnot Latham where he is currently director, Private Banking in Manchester.
Prior to this, he spent 20 years at Coutts where he held a number of senior roles, including global co-chief investment officer of Coutts International based in Hong Kong and global head of Tailored Portfolio Management based in London.
Brown Shipley has increased its presence in the North West in recent years and in 2017 acquired The Roberts Partnership.
Guy Healey, head of Private Banking at Brown Shipley, said: “Manchester and the North West is extremely important to Brown Shipley. The bank was founded in the region over 200 years ago and we continue to invest to maintain our growth momentum and to further strengthen the business.
“I am delighted that Nick will be joining us at Brown Shipley. He has deep experience and expertise in private client wealth management, and will bring significant leadership experience to our existing teams in the region. I am confident that our Manchester teams will build significantly upon their successful heritage and track record through our integrated wealth management proposition.”
Nick’s appointment is the latest in a series of strategic senior hires following the appointment of new chief executive, Alan Mathewson, in April last year.
