Brown Shipley hires 2 senior execs for Scottish growth
Brown Shipley, part of Quintet Private Bank, has recruited two experienced wealth managers from UBS Wealth Management to boost its growth plans in Scotland.
Matt Hoyne moves from UBS Wealth Management to become head of the Edinburgh office and will work alongside Gerard Wilson to help expand Brown Shipley’s presence in Scotland.
Both worked for UBS Wealth Management and have experience working with HNW clients and business owners in Scotland.
Mr Hoyne was a director at UBS Wealth Management in Edinburgh for the the past seven years and prior to that was senior private banker at Bank of Scotland and before that a wealth management adviser at Merrill Lynch in Missouri, USA.
Mr Wilson was most recently a director at UBS Wealth Management in Edinburgh. He had senior roles with the Royal Bank of Scotland Group and at Adam & Company between 2010 and 2015.

Mr Wilson said: “I’m pleased to continue working closely with Matt and with our new Edinburgh colleagues. Brown Shipley will allow us to best meet the wealth management needs of private clients in Scotland through providing the personalisation normally associated with a boutique whilst also having access to broader capabilities within Quintet.”
