Brown Shipley hires 9 from Barclays Wealth
Wealth manager and Chartered Financial Planner Brown Shipley has expanded its presence in the East of England with the recruitment of eight additional client advisers plus a managing director.
Most of the new staff were recruited from Barclays Wealth.
The firm, part of Quintet Private Bank, has expanded its regional operations significantly in recent years.
The nine individuals will support the expansion of the Brown Shipley teams in Cambridge, Norwich and across the East of England, offering investment advice and wealth management.
The expanded team will be led by Simon Smith, a managing director at Brown Shipley. Mr Smith has 34 years’ experience in financial services, most recently as regional director, East Region at Barclays Wealth & Investment Management.
He will be joined by Kevin Nevard, Paul Marshall, Mark Turner, David Vernon, Luke Caraccio, Warren George, Mark Harrod and James Haynes. All of the new hires have extensive experience in working with private clients, most recently with Barclays Wealth & Investment Management.
