Brown Shipley, the wealth planner and investment manager, has hired Andrew Butler-Cassar from rival Investec Wealth & Investment as head of its London office, a newly created role.
Mr Butler-Cassar has over 20 years of industry experience, including his most recent role as head of Private Office at Investec Wealth & Investment, a role he has held since 2014.
Previous roles include head of corporate development, head of London and senior investment director during 12 years at Williams de Broe, as well as senior relationship manager at Lloyds TSB Private Banking. He is due to start his new role on 8 January.
Brown Shipley says he will focus on the leadership of the London-based client relationship teams, including business development and will report to Guy Healey. He will join Brown Shipley’s front office leadership team.
Guy Healey, head of private banking at Brown Shipley, said: “Andrew is an experienced senior leader in the wealth management industry with a proven track record for growth, an entrepreneurial spirit and strong strategic development credentials, so I am delighted that he will be joining our team at Brown Shipley. His experience and expertise add to our full service wealth management proposition combining wealth planning, investment, and lending.”
Mr Butler-Cassar said: “I am thoroughly looking forward to leading Brown Shipley’s London office given its ambition and recent trajectory. In particular, given the size of the market in London and the South, there are clear opportunities for further growth. Working alongside senior management from across the business, I hope to play an integral role in Brown Shipley’s continued success.”
