Brown Shipley makes new senior investment hire in London
Wealth planner and investment management firm Brown Shipley has made a new senior appointment in London.
Cyrique Bourbon has been appointed as asset allocation strategist where he will be responsible for leading the firm’s asset allocation process.
Reporting to chief investment officer Toby Vaughan, the firm says the appointment was in line with its objective to “continue to develop its overall investment proposition”.
With 15 years of investment experience, Mr Bourbon joined Brown Shipley from Morningstar Investment Management Europe, where he was lead manager of the firm’s flagship UK discretionary multi-asset portfolios.
Prior to this, he spent several years at Merrill Lynch Wealth Management.
Toby Vaughan, chief investment officer at Brown Shipley, said: “I am delighted to welcome Cyrique to our Investment Office.
“The depth of his asset management expertise will prove instrumental as we continue to bolster our investment management proposition, which is a key part of Brown Shipley’s fully integrated wealth management service.”
Mr Bourbon said: “I am looking forward to working closely with Toby and the team as we look to further enhance the business’ investment service during an exciting period of development and growth.”
The appointment is the latest in a number of senior hires for the business this year, including Amrendra Sinha as head of direct equity in a newly created role, Richard McGregor as national head of court of protection and personal injury and Nick Cringle as regional head, North West.
