Charles Derby is latest to rebrand under Quilter
Financial Planner Charles Derby Group has been rebranded as Quilter Financial Advisers in the latest move to create a national financial brand for Quilter.
Quilter Financial Planning acquired Colchester-based Charles Derby Group in February 2019. The deal saw 200 restricted Financial Planners added to Quilter’s national advice business.
The rebranded Quilter Financial Advisers includes a Dental and Medical professionals division of 25 specialist advisers focused on medical professionals.
Quilter Financial Planning has more than 3,900 advisers across the UK. Along with Quilter Financial Advisers, it includes Quilter’s HNW advisory business Quilter Private Client Advisers and the recently acquired Lighthouse, which will be rebranded in due course, says the firm.
Darren Sharkey, managing director of Quilter’s national advice business, said: “This is a big step for our national advice business and marks a significant step in our integration of the Charles Derby Group.”
Charles Derby has been a long-standing member of Quilter’s advice network so the impact on clients will be modest, says Quilter.
The Quilter group includes a growing financial advisory arm, a platform and an investment management business.
Since its IPO in June 2018, Quilter’s businesses have been steadily rebranded to Quilter. Quilter Financial Planning was previously Intrinsic and Quilter Private Client Advisers was previously Old Mutual Wealth Private Client Advisers. Quilter Financial Advisers was previously Charles Derby Group.
The group also includes the Quilter Financial Adviser School, Quilter Cheviot and Quilter Investors. Old Mutual Wealth will become Quilter Wealth Solutions this year and Old Mutual International will become Quilter International in 2020.
