Chartered Planner adds senior hire to boost footprint
Cheltenham-based Chartered Financial Planner firm Attivo has recruited David Melloy as its new strategic business development director to help spearhead plans to expand its UK footprint.
Mr Melloy has worked in financial services sector for many years and has a track record of business development growth, the firm said.
He also has a record of working with the professional services sector, including lawyers and accountants.
Attivo says that in his new role, he will work with and support the Financial Planners and the management team to build the business. He will report to Stephen Harper, chairman.
The appointment follows two other additions to the business with Rob Fellows joining as operations director, with responsibility for Financial Planning operations, including Attivo Mortgages and Protection and Attivo Private Clients. Chris Harris has joined the business as people director, responsible for the welfare and development of Attivo’s people, including recruitment.

In the last 10 years, the firm has acquired more than 40 Financial Planning businesses and is headquartered in Cheltenham, with offices in London, Cardiff, Liverpool, Darlington, Harrogate, and Newbury.
