The Chartered Insurance Institute (CII) has appointed two new executive directors who will take up their roles in early March.
CII chief executive Matthew Hill said the pair will be working for "CII and PFS members alike."
Adam Harper will become executive director, strategy, advocacy & professional standards, while Holly Porter will become executive director, markets & opportunities.
The two have had extensive careers across a range of sectors, the CII said.
Mr Harper is currently director of professional standards and policy at the Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT), where he leads the development and enhancement of their professional standards regulatory framework.
He has contributed to the development of AAT’s strategic vision, plans and policies and has experience of co-ordinating corporate strategies and business plans.
Ms Porter joins from BCS, the Chartered Institute for IT, which supports technology and digital professionals across different sectors in the UK and internationally. She currently leads the professional membership community and registrations portfolio as managing director and was formerly membership director.
She works closely with organisations, members and the volunteer network, which has more than 100 regional and special interest groups. Her focus has been to help members drive their professional development and shape the future of technology as part of the BCS membership community.
Matthew Hill, CII chief executive, said: “Adam and Holly bring extensive skills and perspectives that will help us meet our strategic ambitions and drive our public value mission forward.
“Their leadership will play a crucial role in shaping the future of the CII Group, strengthening our ability to deliver for CII and PFS members alike.”
Before he joined the PFS had fallen into conflict with parent body the CII after it axed the PFS CEO role, then held by Keith Richards, angering many PFS members. As a result of their complaints the role was reinstated in February 2022 in a u-turn.
The PFS Board confirmed in November that a search for a new PFS chief executive was due to commence, reinforcing its commitment to delivering dedicated leadership for its members.
