CISI awards Financial Planning firm Accredited status
A company in Scotland has become the second in just over a week to be awarded the title of CISI Accredited Financial Planning Firm.
Wealthflow, based in Edinburgh and with offices in Aberdeen, Glasgow and London, has achieved the accolade, it was revealed this afternoon.
The firm is headed by Duncan R. Glassey CFPTM Chartered MCSI. Former IFP President and chairman of the CISI IFP Forum, Alan Dick CFPTM Chartered FCSI, sits on the investment committee.
Wealthflow joins a list of 74 Accredited Firms.
The title was introduced by The Institute of Financial Planning and it has been continued since the merger with the CISI in November 2015.
Duncan R. Glassey CFPTM Chartered MCSI, founding partner of Wealthflow LLP, said: “Accreditation demonstrates our pursuit of excellence in everything we do for clients – delivering a comprehensive Financial Planning and independent investment advice service with the objective of supporting clients to achieve their most important life goals.”
A least 50% of a firm’s FCA registered advisers must be qualified as a Certified Financial PlannerTM or Chartered Financial Planner (with AF5) to gain Accredited status.
At least one director/partner of the firm must be a current CFPTM professional.
Juno Wealth Management were also announced as a new Accredited firm last week.
To become an Accredited Financial Planning FirmTM businesses must also:
• Show evidence that it meets strict criteria in relation to the delivery of financial planning
• place clients at the heart of its business proposition and ensure they receive consistently excellent service
• re-confirm it meets the standards on an annual basis to retain its status.
