The Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment has launched a CPD app for its 43,000 members around the world including the UK.

The app will allow members to track their Continuing Professional Development (CPD) studies on a mobile device.

The professional body says CISI members in 100 countries will be able to maintain their mandatory CPD requirements using their mobile phones at anytime or anywhere.

The organisation carried out research with more than 600 members before launching the app. 

The app aims to provide members with ‘learning opportunities’ alongside simplified membership administration.

The app, available for Apple IOS or Android devices, will allow members to:

• View their personalised homepage on MyCISI and their CPD entries
• Complete CPD learning, via over 200 e-learning modules or view over 500 CISI videos on the CISI TV channel
• Read 1,300 articles from the CISI member magazine The Review
• Log CPD to their records automatically
• Find and book an upcoming event
• Update personal details
• Check out other CISI member benefits

The body has members working in Financial Planning, capital markets and wealth management and runs the Certified Financial Planner designation in the UK.
