Clifton Wealth Partnership has acquired Hertfordshire-based Financial Planning firm Dukes IFA for an undisclosed sum.
The deal brings 170 clients and £43m AUM to Clifton in its fourth acquisition of the year.
Dukes IFA is based in Bushey, Hertfordshire, and has built a client base concentrated within a five-mile radius of its office.
The firm is led by director Adrian Duke-Cohan, who has spent close to 40 years in financial services developing long-standing relationships with clients, some of whom he has advised for more than three decades.
He will remain involved with the business for a transitional period of up to two years, supporting clients and ensuring a smooth handover. His role will focus on maintaining continuity and helping embed relationships with the wider CWP team.
Mr Duke-Cohan said: “This has always been a relationship-driven business. I’ve spent many years building trust with clients and supporting them through different stages of life, so finding the right home for those relationships was essential.
“I took time to meet a number of potential partners, but Clifton stood out. Everyone I spoke to across the business was approachable, open and focused on doing the right thing for clients. That gave me confidence that my clients will continue to be well looked after.”
Anthony Carty, managing director, Clifton Wealth Partnership, said: “Adrian has built a highly regarded business with deep, long-standing client relationships. That level of trust reflects years of consistent advice and care.”
Clifton Wealth Partnership is a Financial Planning and wealth management business and is part of the Bristol-based Clifton Group formed in 1986, which has more than 15,000 clients, 180 employees and £3.7bn in AUM.
In April it acquired Essex-based Financial Planning firm Cutting & Carter for an undisclosed sum.
In February it acquired two Scottish Financial Planning firms, bringing £150m in assets.
In December it acquired Welsh Financial Planning firm Lifestyle Financial Advice for an undisclosed amount. It was the tenth advice business to join Clifton Wealth in 2025. It completed the acquisitions of nine other financial planning businesses from across England and Wales over the year, adding £721m AUM and 26 team members during 2025.
In October 2024 UK private equity firm CBPE Capital LLP made a “strategic investment” in Clifton Wealth Partnership to be partly used to speed up Clifton's acquisition programme.
